Doyle/LeFort Renovation and Addition

For one of the original houses in the Churchill Park area of St. John's, low, clapboarded walls influenced by the architecture of Newfoundland architect Angus Campbell were used to create semi-private exterior areas for the addition of a studio. Paint colours were used to distinguish between the different parts of the house. The low walls extend the form of the house into the landscape, creating visual layers between the street and the house.
