Hood Residence:
Middle Arm, Newfoundland
Construction of the Hood Residence in Middle Arm was completed in 2005, and the outbuildings were completed in 2011. This project was influenced by the design and paint colours of houses and outbuildings in rural Newfoundland. The floors on level one are polished concrete with radiant heating (heat pump connected to closed-loop piping submerged in the bay). Fred Hann was the landscape architect. This project won a Southcott Award.
